Sou Omakase is a classy Japanese fine dining restaurant specializing in Omakase where the chef will decide the menu. Patrons let the Yokohama born executive chef and his team present to you the best seasonal ingredients and lead you on a journey through Japanese cuisine.
The restaurant have a posh exterior with its choice of gold letters.
The interior is intricately decorated and tables are well spaced given diners adequate privacy.
The friendly Japanese lady was present to serve our meals. She explained in perfect English what each dish contains and was always available to answer any queries. The lunch menu starts from 88++
We start off with the sen cha which comes in a pot, ready to be served among the two of us.
Our appeaser was a combination of fresh garden salad in beautiful sesame sauce dressing and a very soft chawamushi that came with unagi. The chawamushi was easily one of the best I ever had with its delicate texture that was a joy to behold.
Our next menu was a selection of seasoned vegetables and a cheese fondue. Some tofu and scallop covered with an interesting batter that appear with little bumps complimented the dish.
Our third and forth dish was served concurrently. The missus had her favourite soba while i went with flat noodles with shoyu broth.

Our mains was served with a variety of tempura and we were recommended
to use the green tea salt which was a first and we thoroughly enjoyed. The tempura was not oily and texture was excellent.
Last up will be our dessert which is shaped like a translucent sphere and had jelly like texture. A slice of cheese cake was made available to have a different texture. The jelly did not have much of a taste and we are supposed to dip on to the sweet sauced that had peanut powder. When we done, the rose flavoured tea help to wash it all down.
It was a remarkable experience to enjoy the culinary journey and if we will definitely return to try their dinner when we are back!
