Grand Park City Hall is a luxury 5 star hotel that is park of the park hotel group and is nested in a great location in the central of Singapore. Its prime location enables guests to connect to fantastic shopping malls within walking distance and is also great base to visit cultural district like Chinatown.
We were privileged enough to bag an awesome deal on their club rooms which comes with access to the crystal club. We were lead to the 10th floor and had personalized check in service at the crystal club.
The club lounge is spacious and decked in brown earthly tones.
Guests can help themselves to the drinks in the fridge. It would have been awesome if it comes with sparkling water.
Afternoon snacks only amount to this strawberry pastry.
Coffee and tea is available and premium teabags from Gryphon tea company is employed.
Club room access come with access to business services in case some work needs to be done.
We were initially assigned a room at the 9th floor and we requested to have a room on the 10th to have easier access to the club lounge. The CRO kindly attended to our request after serving us some drinks.
The CRO also informed that the hotel has undergoing some upgrading works and the pool and gym will not be available for use. That dampen our moods a little as we were very much looking forward to a soak.
After we were done with the tea, we head to explore the 32sqm deluxe club room. The room is spacious but design seems slightly muted. Everything was very clean and the linen comfortable.
There was the standard coffee and tea making facilities. Premium tea from Gryphon tea company was also provided. It will have been better if capsule coffee was available.
The mini fridge is stocked for guests convenience and is of course chargeable once consumed.
A 32inch Sony LCD tv with cable channel provided decent entertainment.
2 bottle of water was provided and we like the control panel for ease of access to lights and air conditioning.
A arm chair seats in the corner of the room and can be used for reading. The room is costumed for plenty of natural light to flow in.
The full size desk will be welcomed by the business traveller
The closet is large and comes with the standard items that one will expect.
Our room view was of the neighboring hotel.
The bathroom is spacious and comes with both a shower and bathtub. We like the marble finishing.
The shower resembles those found in the bathrooms of public swimming pools and did not have a luxury factor to it.
Amenities provided were up to satisfication
As there was no pool, we went around to check out the hotel. The lobby area is grand and classy.

We wonder if someone comes to play the piano to entertain guests.
The evening cocktails commence from 530pm and last till 8pm which is a very long time. The food available has decent variety but taste wise is not 5 star quality.
The lounge become more busy as we approach dawn. It was a little sad for guests that came at the later stage as food are not replenished that often.
It was nice to have many different variety of fruits. Freshly squeeze was also available but these were hardly refilled when empty.
Various different alcohol are provided and guests are given free reign to mix their own cocktails. It can be a great deal for those who have the know how to mix their own drinks considering the high prices of alcohol in Singapore. It will have been better if there was a menu for use to order instead for the current arrangements as we noticed many guests just went with the wine instead of mixing their own drinks.
Being IT savvy and having a decent collection of drinks at home, we googled for recipes and indulge with the alcohol on offer. The wine is quite drinkable which is great.
Breakfast the nice morning can be had at indulge where there are more variety of food on offer. Club room guest can also choose to dine at the club room which offers more exclusivity. We chose the latter as we very much prefer to dine in a quiet environment. The items are still very decent and we filled our tummies. If you need eggs like us in the morning, feel free to order from the 2 friendly CROs which will get the chef to prepare for you.
Despite given a code to access the high speed internet, speed was satisfactory at best and slower than many of the hotels we have been at.
Overall, it was a decent stay but the lack of pool was sorely disappointing and we will think of coming back only when such facilities become available again. More services in the club room can also be provided with the likes of a bartender and service crew to serve us drinks considering the premiums guests pay for the club rooms.
