Hotel review: Park Hotel Alexandra Deluxe room

Park Hotel Alexandra is one of the newest kid on the block in Singapore's hotel scene. It has a beautiful building located right beside Ikea Alexandra and opposite Anchorpoint provides more than sufficient eating and shopping options.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the 4 star hotel provides a quiet spot for rest and relaxation and is a perfect place for a staycation. The lobby area is large and grand looking. We absolutely love how everything looks spick and span. The staff was very kind to us and upgraded us to the Deluxe room.

They have their own cafe which looks like a great place to read a book while enjoying some coffee.

The entrance to the lift doors have illuminating lights giving a classy appearance.

A nice view indeed!

We love the brightly lit corridor to our rooms.

The deluxe room is a comfortable 24sqm and is decked in earthly tones. The floor to ceiling windows allows an abundance of natural light to flow in.

A 42inch smart TV sits snugly in the middle of the room and provides a good variety of cable channels for entertainment.

The room has individual controls for air conditioning to cater to your every needs. The air con is very powerful but silent.

The business traveler will appreciate the full size working desk which comes with an adjustable lamp.

The mini bar is well stocked for your convenience. We like that premium teabags from Gryphon tea company was provided.

In the wardrobe,  you will find the standard safe, ironing facilities, hair dryer along with the plushy bathroom slippers and bath robes.

A huge mirror create the illusion of a much larger bathroom which is very clean. The extendable and magnifying mirror will proof useful for the ladies looking to touch up their make up.

A decent set of toiletries and amenities are provided to make life as easy as possible.

2 bottles of complimentary water are placed in the bathroom which was a strange place in our opinion to put drinking water.

The standing rain shower provided is our favorite and works flawlessly.

The 2nd set of bath robe can also be found in the bath room.

Our view from the room was of the infinity pool which is the next place we are checking out.

Adjacent to the pool is The Carvery which will be the venue for our buffet breakfast. It also serves buffet dinner which was fairly popular considering the crowd during dinner time.

The pool area is beautiful with the deck chairs calling out to sun bathers.

There are shallow wading pools for families to enjoy the cool waters for those with toddlers.

A jacuzzi is located beside the bar which we had to hunt for the switch. A sign to indicate its whereabouts will have made the task a lot easier.

You can swim up to the beautiful wet bar, Aqua Luna and enjoy a cold one or a refreshing cocktails if you so desire.

The infinity pool boosts of the view of the surrounding condominiums which includes the award winning architecture of the interlace.

The 24h gym is well equipped with plenty of exercise equipment.

The lights by the pool during night time also provided an enchanting and mesmerizing view.

The lighted facade of the hotel enhance the beauty of  the night.

Breakfast at the restaurant was unfortunately not the best experience with a extremely busy and rowdy crowd. There were loads of tourists from various tour groups which created a lot of noise and marred the dining experience. Thankfully. the hotel has great staffs for crowd control. There was a good variety of dishes available catering to the western and Asian palate. The chefs were also quick to churn out food which were promptly snapped up by the patrons.

The hotel provides complimentary shuttle buses to various locations which is quite useful to get to
Sentosa in Habourfront or Orchard Road for shopping.

The complimentary internet is adequate and suitable to check emails and surfing facebook.

Overall, the experience at the hotel is great but the magnificent pools and beautiful rooms. Service from the staff is also excellent and commendable. The food at the buffet restaurant is also decent. For the couple looking for a staycation, look no further!
