Food review: Wild Honey Scotts Square - posh restaurant where you can have breakfast for dinner

Wild honey is a wildly popular restaurant serving up breakfast options from all over the world. 3 restaurants have since opened in classy districts since its inception in 2009 is a testament of the popularity. Be it savory options or a sweet snack, seafood, meat or vegetarian you can find it in Wild Honey. We head to their less busy but still posh branch at Scotts Square to check it out.

We arrived on a Friday evening to a sparsely populated restaurant unlike his sister branch at Mandarin Gallery which is usually quite difficult to get a table.

The restaurant is classy and has a nice ambiance which is perfect for dating couples. No screaming children or loud chatter among friends to deal with which is perfect for couples to whisper sweet nothings to each other. You can think of the place like an upscale cafe.

Free iced water is available for self service which the server failed to point out to us.

Magazines are placed around the restaurant and are useful to chase away boredom while waiting for food to arrive.

We love the beautiful napkins which come in several designs.

We started off with some drinks and the missus went with the Mandarin Wilderness which is a concoction of raspberry, banana, mandarin orange and honey blended with ice. The drink had a smoothie like texture served with a beautiful martini glass with 3 raspberry for garnish. It is packed full of vitamins and you somehow feel bit healthier after this drink.

I had the Queen Bee which is a mix of red grapefruit, elder flower and honey. The drink had a tangy but refreshing taste although i feel the missus drink is more deserving of its price tag.

Our food came not soon after with the missus sticking with the seafood option and went with the Norwegian. It is essentially eggs Atlantic as you may know it from other cafes but comes with the added Avocado and grilled Asparagus. We loved how the smoked salmon is used to wrap around the poached eggs. Hollandaise sauce is drizzled liberally on the toasted brioche. Salmon roe topped on top of the eggs not only enhance the overall look of the dish but also works wonders with the textures. The egg yolk flowed freely when sliced and fulfilled the eggporn role. A masterful dish.

My Delancey is served similar to the classic Eggs Benedict but with the bacon swapped for pastrami. Brioche with a crisp crust and a soft and fluffy interiors. The generous hollandaise was a joy to behold.

We had an enjoyable time enjoying brunch food during dinner time at this upscale restaurant. The ingredients were fresh, taste was good and the food beautifully plated. While the price tag might be bit hefty, it is worth trying if you deserve a classy ambiance and some good eggs. Just think of it as brunch a la fine dining! Chope has vouchers which retails at $45 for $50 worth of value so it might be worth purchasing it to get $5 off your meal.
