The St Regis Singapore is the benchmark of what a true luxury 5 star hotel should be. It boasts world class hospitality with bespoke services that is hard to beat. The combination of its grandeur and famous butler service makes this hotel one of the best places for the discerning luxury traveler to stay at. The sheer finery and keen attention to details elevated our status to almost prince and princess like, albeit for one night only. Read on to find out more.
Located at the end of Orchard Road, the hotel brings shopping right to the shopping mix in a few minutes walk. The quieter end also means bigger privacy without sacrificing convenience.
We entered the magnificent lobby through a inverted glass like structure and found ourselves seemingly teleported away from Singapore.
The interiors of the lobby with its high ceiling is vastly different from most of the buildings in Singapore. Space is a luxury in our land scarce Singapore and we found ourselves in an abundance of space. Here you can find long hallways with beautifully decorated floors and various art work around the walls.
The plush sofas were scatter around the huge lobby and it is a joy to admire the beautiful surroundings while waiting.
We proceeded to check ourselves in at the beautiful check in around. Check in is done seated with magnificent red carpets leading to your seats.
We got into our rooms after lunch and was flabbergasted to find a bench in the lift. Should you need to rest your legs during the lift ride, you can do so.
Before he left, he made us some perk-me-ups which is another awesome benefit of staying in St Regis properties.
You can order from the menu and the butler will come back with teas from TWG or the coffee of your choosing all free of charge!
It was also a very nice gesture for the hotel to spruce up the room with additional decorations knowing we are celebrating our 3rd anniversary.
The complimentary cake and fruit platter nicely placed adds on greater value and tells you how much the hotel will go to make guests feel welcome.
The earl grey chocolate came freshly baked from the hotel's bakery and scored points on taste!
Regular sugar as sweeteners at St Regis just doesnt cut it and we were provided with mini jars of honey to go with the tea. A very sweet gesture!
After the fancy perks that come with the room, it is now time to wow you with the room proper and we shall of course start with the entrance to our room.
Along the walkway on the right of the above picture, you will find tea making facilities should you decide not to bother the butler.
The teas provided are from the famed TWG which is known for their premium teas.
2 free bottled water are also available along with the range of teas you can order just by picking up the phone.
Below the counter top, a range of snacks and also alcohol are available for your choosing where you pay a premium for the convenience.
The bottom level house the mini fridge where there is plenty of choices. The bottle of sherry at the bottom right did not came included and was brought from home.
The bathroom is a sight to behold being encased in Breche de Benou marble which is exceedingly beautiful. There are 2 wash basins so time is wasted having to wait for each other.
A full range of amenities are provided with body lotion from their luxury Remede spa. Non standard items like mouth wash was also present.
A separate shower stall which house a cool showering system with an attached rain shower. Remede spa also makes the showering amenities. The body wash provided is an nice gentle scrub which helps to exfoliate your delicate skin.
The water jet system (three black knobs) spouts water in different directions and will make sure you are thoroughly cleaned up..
The coolest feature will definitely be the bathtub which allows you to relax and enjoy a bath among the luxury fittings.
The first class bath includes a small tv screen that appears in the adjacent mirror. An absolute luxury to be able to tune in to your favourite programs while taking a bath!
Bath salts and luffa are provided for your bathing needs!
The flower petals from our the earlier decorations are not wasted with the missus immersing herself in a rose bath. An awesome way to wind down for the day!
The room itself is a sight to behold with polished furnishings in a classy contemporary setting.
Our bedding is so comfortable that you wish you can sleep on it the entire day and not get up. The luxury silk throw pillow from Jim Thompson aid in the difficulty to wake up and it was such a luxury to stay in bed.
The hand-painted chinoiserie silk wallpaper provides a graceful setting to welcome you into your bed.
We love the controls located beside the beds and staying in a luxury room means drawing curtains is done by pressing a few buttons.
Some simple stationary are provided which are above and beyond what most hotels provide.

And also lounge chair which will be perfect to enjoy a cuppa while watching the TV.
There are two huge wardrobe which will be useful to keep your fancy suits and dresses. In here you find my Ted Baker weekender.

Another card explained the complimentary shoe shine service. A great perk me up for the shoes before heading down to the party.
A extensive pillow menu if you do not like the default ones or you can get some extras just for the fun of it.
To ensure your garments remained smelling great, a scent pouch is provided. An great level of detailed to ensure the guests have the best experience in the room!
Before the evening cocktails, we decided to check out the swimming pool which was rather empty.
The missus decided to lay down for a little rest in the tranquil surroundings and watch the time go by.
As part of the package, we got access to labrezza, a nice Italian restaurant, during evening cocktail hour where hors d'oeuvres and alcoholic beverages are served.
The choice of beverages is simple which will be wonderful if cocktails are included.
We do however have the option to make our own bloody mary (recipe included) which I took the opportunity to indulge myself in.
For other alcoholic beverage, you get one sparkling, one white and a red to choose from.
We tried all 3 and found them to be decent tasty but nothing to shout about.

We thought the drinks did not satisfy us and continue to have some sherry after our proper dinner. The beauty of the room made our beverage of choice even sweeter!
The next morning, we headed to Brasserie Les Saveurs for our breakfast. The high ceiling make you feel as if you are a noble dining in a castle like environment
Besides the extensive buffet menu, each guest are provided a separate menu which you can order from, all of which are complimentary. Breakfast is said to be the most important menu of the day and St Regis definitely make you feel very important.
We indulge ourselves and try to sample the best of what the menu offers.

The awesome selection does not forgo quality over quantity and we had one of the best breakfast in our life at St Regis. We also enjoyed that the food are arranged neatly and not in a haphazardly manner.
The kind lady at the check in counter extended our check out timing to 4pm and we had sufficient time to check out the Remede spa's wet lounge. There are a host of facilities including steam room, indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, heated marble lounge chairs among others. The only gripe we have is that facilities are separated by gender so couples cannot enjoy the facilities together.

Guests get a locker to put your belongings and a very comfortable bathrobe. You can also change into the paper undergarments and cotton slippers.

The opulent looking indoor jacuzzi is a sight to behold.
Some heated lounge chairs which did not provide much enjoyment for me.
Do take a shower before entering the pools for obvious reasons.

The outdoor jacuzzi sets itself against a backdrop of greenery and makes for a relaxing soak.
Style checked, great hospitality, awesome food checked, relaxation checked! We had the best ever hotel experience in St Regis and this is definitely the hotel to beat for the overall experience. If an overseas trip is out of the question, this is the best ever experience you can have for a staycation to relax and unwind.
