Street 50 is the flagship restaurant of Bay hotel located in Habourfront area. The restaurant is a short walk away from the nearest MRT station and easily accessible. Being fans of steamboat, we head down to give this a shot.
The restaurant is fairly large and they have an indoor and alfresco settings. Reservation is recommended as we were assigned booths for our table. Walk in guests did not seem to have the same privilege but do not take our word for it.
Our hot pot is placed over beautiful chinaware which the fire source is placed in. This way of cooking is more elegant than practical as we found the soup to take a longer time to boil. It is not such huge issue as there is no time limit to the buffet but it will be if your tummy is growling.
There are 4 different soup for selection namely Tom Yum, Chicken, Beef Bakso and Miso. You can check out the full menu here. If you are more of a visual person which I am, let the pictures do the talking.

There was also some cooked food like this mini fired dumping and also duck egg rolls. We enjoyed a few of these cooked food while waiting for our soup to simmer and boil. The fried dumpling was pretty ordinary but we enjoyed the duck egg rolls.
We were also pleasantly surprised by a premium platter that was served to us that contained premium pork pelly, fish maw, scallops and bamboo clams.
Check out the pot of simmering goodness.
The missus tried the chicken broth and myself the miso. Both did not provide much excitement but the flavors are enhanced after rounds of seafood. The seafood provided are of good quality which we enjoyed with the vegetables and other items fresh. Ice water is served free of charge but it will be nice if soft drinks were also on the menu.
We enjoyed the outing to street 50 and the only downside was the time taken to cook the food. At the point of writing, we understand they have since expanded the weekend hot pot to include a BBQ station. Price will be $42++ and children $20++. They also have bottomless beer, wine and juices at $28++ which is not to bad a deal. Entertainer fans enjoy 1 for 1 hot pot buffet.
During our visit, the buffet price was $38++ (July 2016)
