Food review: Kinsahi @ KSL city

Kinsahi is a premium looking Japanese restaurant that serves quality Japanese cuisine. The restaurant is intricately and beautiful decorated with a misty river right in the middle of the restaurant.

We arrived on a Thursday evening to a busy restaurant but managed to get a seat beside the misty river. The entrance looks inviting with flowers and a chandelier greeting you as you step into the restaurant.

The ambience feels posh with different sections of the restaurant decorated in different ways. Lots of fake flowers enhance the look of the restaurants and the decorative ceiling lights were aesthetically pleasing.  Our seat was beside the impressive "misty river" and it was like we are dining among the clouds which is kind of an interesting experience.

We settle for green tea to for drinks and had a hotate chawamushi to start our dinner. The chawamushi is very soft and tender with a large scallop placed on top. Rest of the ingredients were pretty standard and we were happy with the beautiful start.

Next one is the Kaki Miso Yaki which are deep fried oysters with mentai sauce flame grilled. The texture become a little like chicken which was not what i was expecting. The mentai sauce was great tasting though.

The mapo tofu was nothing out of the ordinary and it was a nice dish to go with the surroundings.

Cold noodles is the missus favorite and she went for it again without fail. The noodles was bouncy and nicely presented.

My main was the omelette torikaraage which is basically curry fried chicken omu rice which was nicely presented. Japanese curry as usual was not spicy and it was delightful to have mouthful of rice drizzled with curry sauce.

It seems we went a little overboard with the amount of food ordered for 2 pax. The price was just too enticing not to be a glutton.

We did not stop there and went ahead with desserts which have beautiful pastel colours. The green tea flavored pudding was not to my liking with the overpowering Matcha taste but I enjoyed my chocolate version very much,

With the price tag it brings and the awesome dining ambience, the restaurant will make for a romantic night out and I will recommend everyone that is heading to the KSL city to dine at this wonderful establishment.
