Located at Johor Premium outlet, Kempachi is an upmarket restaurant fitting of a romantic date. The brand has its long roots in Malaysia have been awarded numerous accolades over the years. It is a must try if you are in the vicinity.
We arrived during lunchtime to an almost empty restaurant. The setting and ambience feels posh and classy. The furnishing and decorations have lots of earthly tones and wooden elements.
They have an extensive tea menu and are very serious with their teas. We ordered a pot of Apple and Berry tea which had a fruity fragrance and was delicious to drink. The chinaware was pretty and the service crew will come by to your table to refill the pot with hot water whenever it runs low.
We ordered a pot of Yosenabe to share and we were pleasantly impressed by the generous amount of ingredients which accentuated the flavours . We found large fillets of salmon, oyster, prawns, bamboo shoots and vegetables in the clear soup. A slight disappointment was the prawns being overcooked.

The Kaisen Yakimeshi or seafood fried rice was acceptable in taste and had a good amount of salmon and prawn chunks.

The missus cant stop having the soba and we found the taste of the buckwheat noodles was much better than the one we had at Kinsahi.
