ocated at Orchard road and 2 minutes away to Dhoby Ghaut train station, the hotel is awesomely conveniently poised for a staycation and also a great base to travel around Singapore. Being close to the hustle and bustle of city life will surely mean that the surroundings will be noisy but on the contrary, Innotel is well hidden and provides the necessary peace and quiet for a restful night.
We arrived after movies at Plaza Singapura which is a stones throw away. The check in counter was pretty empty at 430pm and we did not have to wait for our turn. Check in process was not that quick though.
We notice a beautiful bar at the ground floor of the hotel and thought it will be a good venue for friends to have a get together session.
The lobby have a vintage looking computer which I guess will be better served as an antique than a internet station. It is available if you requires some printing for a small fee.
Self service launderettes is available but we did not manage to find out how much it cost and where it is found.
The superior room is 19sqm and while it is not the biggest room around, it provide sufficient space that you will not feel too claustrophobic. The rooms seems to sacrifice design for comfort with the green and red door totally out of place and looking horrendous.
Bathroom are reasonably comfortable and a decent surprise for the price point. The safe is working and can be used to store valuables. Sink and mirror is located along the walkway instead of being in the restroom. Personally i like this design as there will be less waiting time for each other in the morning. The included amenities are ordinary and sufficient.
A mini fridge is included in the room which is nice. The better part will be the flavored drinks are also complimentary.
The 32inch flat screen provides adequate entertainment and can also be used as an internet TV.
The bed is a nice queen size and linen is of decent quality. We had a good rest but the lights are the sides are too bright for our liking.
Some nice touches on the included adapter in case you forget to bring your own.
The restroom is clean but I was disappointed not to find a rain shower. The shampoo and body wash was not that great in my opinion and could be of better quality.
Our view from the window allowed us to see the neighboring Fort Canning hotel which have a kind British government building style to it.
A reasonable in room menu is available but as usual in Singapore, the alcohol is quite expensive.
Breakfast the next day was rather simple and selection is quite limited as well. I can feel non Asian guests will have a tough time getting use to such a breakfast. I will recommend to go to the nearby Kith cafe for a much better breakfast if it is not included in your hotel package.
Wifi is decent and the other criticism i have is the lift door opens very very slowly. The hotel staff on the other hand are very friendly and will be always there to assist and never fail to greet you when you pass by their counter.
