Adonis Hotel is located in a very central location, 5 min walk to Bugis MRT station and is the perfect location to embark on a journey of exploration and is also awesome place to rest those tired legs. Coupled with the warm hospitality and optimum price point, it is also an excellent destination for a staycation.
Walking past the exterior of the hotel, the look resembles a restaurant with a menu just outside the door. The lobby is also rather unique as it was basically a restaurant. Upon entering, the staff will great you with a big smile and request for your travel documents to check in. The restaurant appears classy with several art pieces lining the walls. A welcome drink will be served and the staff will assist you to the lift. Very warm hospitality!
The dinner menu at the restaurant is also inexpensive and can be considered if you are not in the mood to wonder around. If you are feeling adventurous, there are many food options in the vicinity with decent Thai restaurants and the ever popular Saveur serving french cusine for the masses.
We booked the queen room this time that was a paltry 15sqm located at the 5th floor. The room maybe tiny but it was all the amenities a traveler needs and more. We had a previous experience at the 2nd floor queen room that does not have a window but it was compensated with larger space.
A 42inch tv just in front of the bed that was supposedly offering cable channels had limited programs with weak signals leaving a mosaic screen. The bed was comfortable and lined with a decent thread count sheets and was delightful for a good nights rest.
The room also ensures guests never gets thirsty with nespresso capsules and a very well stocked fridge with beer soft drinks and sparkling and still water that was complimentary. Another downside of the room also made means that there is a lack of space for work but hey, this is not a business hotel. Wardrobes are of the open concept variety and bathrobes for 2 are provided.
The washroom is very well stocked with amenities and it is my first experience that even face wash and peeling gel is provided. However, it is understandable as Adonis is a beauty chain after all. The hotel goes beyond its expectations and also provides shoe shoe, vanity kit which are usually not found in 4 star establishments unless in a suite category.
Scales are provided for the weight conscious and my favorite rain shower is found. The marble flooring is a nice touch and gives off a premium feel. The only complaint I have was the press bottle for the body wash and shampoo only offered a very limited amount of liquid for every press and it requires several push to get the desired quantity.
View outside the room is nothing to shout about but the wifi speed is excellent and able to watch youtube videos without stuttering.
After a good nights rest, breakfast will the thing on most people's minds upon waking up. The restaurant doesn't disappoint with its semi buffet breakfast. We both choose the poach eggs with pumpkin mash as our mains and help ourselves with the yogurt, juices and breads on the buffet menu. The eggs were perfectly poach and the hollandise sauce was well made. I really fancy the transparent coffee cup that displayed the separation of the coffee and its made. We finished our breakfast with the fresh fruits which includes grapes.
We enjoyed our stayed at the Adonis hotel and it is a lovely hotel that i will recommend for its offerings and excellent service. It made up for its lack of a gym and swimming pool with various other perks that were well thought off and guests will feel very well taken off by the hotel.
