Gadeno is located in BCS Mall and serves western food. Most of the patrons seems to be tourists as we overheard many conversations in Singlish when we were there for lunch. There is a good crowd during lunch hour but we did not have to wait too long to get a seat.

The restaurant is casual and good for families but service is quite unreliable. We did not find menus already placed at our table and had to take some effort to get the service crew attention to bring us the menu. The decor look pleasant, clean and inviting. However, we cannot say the same for the food and service.



They have a decent selection of western food including steaks and pizzas but the quality of the food is mediocre at best. The quality and standard of the food is similar with Singaporean coffee shops standards. It seems to be a tourist trap and money could be spend elsewhere with better quality food.



Service was quite unreliable and despite ordering 2 drinks, only one came and we had to ask the service crew to check on our order. Missus food also had to sit at the counter for a good 5 minutes before someone took notice of it and bring it to our table. I noticed that the service crew cleared the tables and proceeded to bring me my dish without washing his hands which in my opinion was unsanitary.

The only decent item that came of our lunch was that the avocado drinks tasted good. Food took a long time to arrive and could be due to the fact that the restaurant was busy. The salmon steak that came with both missus and my dish was pitifully small and very dry. Fries were soggy, cold and unpalatable. Only the Indonesian fish cake tasted OK and sauce was decent.




We left disappointed thinking we could have made a better choice for lunch and could not fathom why there were crowds. I will definitely not recommend going to this restaurant.
