Hotel review: Park Avenue Hotels and Suites Changi Business Park

Park Avenue at Changi Business Park(CBP) is a nicely furnished 4 star hotel located in the eastern part of Singapore. It offers spacious rooms with comfortable bedding that ensures one will have a good night sleep. Eating options are abound in the vicinity which made staying at this hotel a breeze. For couples looking for a quiet staycation, this hotel may be worth considering!

Entering the hotel, a pleasant scent can be felt in the air. The hotel lobby does not have any sitting area but one can rest their legs at nice comfortable sofas outside the hotel.  We arrived at around 4pm and the check in counter was empty. The counter was manned by 2 ladies but we were served promptly as there was no one checking in apart from us. Our first room's restroom had a bad smell and we requested a room change which was promptly sorted out.

Check in time: 4mins

The room we booked was the deluxe room and came with a King size bed. If one do not mind a twin bed, there is a superior room option which comes with a cheaper price tag. Room was around 23sq meter which was a decent size considering the price being paid. The room was contemporary designed and have a nice 32 inch samsung tv providing a decent channel list for those who wished to laze in the hotel and watch tv.

Decent size desk and couch at side of room

A electronic safe is provided together with the standard cotton slippers and shoe breeze. For those on a business trip, one can also make use of the ironing board and iron to press your shirts and be ready for the exhibition or meeting ahead. The working desk was adequate for some light work. The temperature control work well and the air-conditioner is rather silent to which will not disturb one's sleep.

There was nothing much of a view from the window apart from the various office buildings and a construction site nearby. We stayed over a weekend and there was no construction going on but we suspect it might be noisy during the week days.

Checking out the view

The restroom is equipped with reasonable quality amenities as one will expect from a 4 star establishment. There is a big mirror to satisfy the vanity in women and also a electronic weighing scale for those that are conscious of their weight. A bathtub large enough for one is also included in the package which was a plus. The restroom have a see through panel and one can continue to watch the television while taking a bath. The only complaint we have is that the water pressure is not strong enough and there was no rain shower.

A well equipped gym is located at the 10th floor for those keen for a exercise. A small pool was available but that may prove claustrophobic if there are more than 5 people in it. The hotel does not have their own in house restaurant but there are several restaurants and a supermarket just outside the hotel. A bar is also found in the vicinity which you can claim a welcome drink with coupons that you will have to ask for from the check in counter. I will very much prefer that they are given during check in rather than something guests have to discover by themselves after looking at the in room menu. The shopping mall Changi city point is also another option if one does not mind a short 5 min walk with decent food options and several outlet shops.
In room menu and information on welcome drink. Dont miss it.

Breakfast is 30 sec walk to the opposite building housing Yum Cha which is a chinese restaurant serving dim sum. The breakfast was a simple buffet of reasonable variety suited for the Asian palate with decent noodles, vegetables, some fried food and dim sum. For the westerner, one may be disappointed by the lack of bacon and fresh salad but there are still cheese and ham available. The kids will also be happy to know that french fries or otherwise know as chips to the British is available to satisfy their appetite.
Simple but delicious breakfast

For those a keen to check out the business park, there is a nice park 5 mins walk away which may be a nice place for a evening stroll. We test out the service of the hotel at around 9pm by requesting for wine glasses which arrive in about 7mins but we were made to sign some declaration that we will be liable for damages or loss of the glasses which was a little off putting. The wifi signal was decent even though we were staying in the far end of the floor.

Overall, i will recommend the hotel for a decent stay for business and also makes a nice staycation place for couples that wants the privacy and quiet location away from the bustling city.
