Perfetto Cafe is a restaurant in the Arab Street vicinity and marketed themselves as a cafe/restaurant. They proclaimed to serve gourmet coffee and also have a decent dining menu. We check it out to see if their name fits the bill.
The restaurant is housed in vintage shop houses and has an inviting facade.
We were very surprised to find the dining area empty on a Saturday evening which usually spells trouble as we were the only ones dining. There is only one service staff which was adequate. The ambiance is cosy with tables very well spaced.
We got thirsty and started our meals with green tea. They were the regular canned ones and was served in nice mason mugs.
The missus ordered the Baked Pepper Steak which arrived with a look of disaster on the plate. 3 pieces of sad and shrunken fillet with a bunch of greens placed haphazardly on a plate was served. It look like the game of a home chef and was not of restaurant quality at all.

My Uptown steak did not fared any better. The Sirloin was overcooked and it was difficult to chew. The vegetables were dry and seem to be microwaved to arrive in that state. I guess it should be renamed downtown steak as it was really down.

We ordered a side to go with our meals. The Shrimp on the Boat was the only palatable dish with bread and Parmesan. We did enjoy the crispy crust from the Baguette but the prawns was slightly dry.

Even though Entertainer app fans enjoy one for one deals at this place, I will suggest giving this restaurant a miss until they hire a new chef. Unfortunately their name did them no honors this time.
