Food review: Marco Marco Millenia Walk

Marco marco is an Italian restaurant serving quality, fresh and affordably priced cuisine. What makes the restaurant special is the fusion dishes inspired by various city names. Read on to find out more!

Located in millenia walk, the restaurant is rather quiet during the weekends sans the working crowd. The ambience is casual and is great for a friends gathering. The eatery is also family friendly evidenced by the families bringing their kids to dine at the restaurant.

Pamphlets are placed at every table which contains the menu and the restaurant seems to go with the concept of free seating. Some of the items are unfortunately not present in the menu and you will have to find out for yourself during ordering at the counter. The utensils need some wiping before use as we spotted some stains.

Our first visit saw us ordering the Fukuoka pasta and the missus went with the Grilled salmon both of which were not included in the menu. You can decide to "upsize" your mains into a meal with the choice of beverage and a side. We opted for the ice lemon tea for drinks. Mushroom soup and garlic bread was the choice of our sides. The ice lemon tea had a large amount of sugar added and was a recipe for diabetes.

The garlic bread was pretty ok and provided the necessary sustenance.

My Fukuoka pasta was Japanese inspired and had toppings of fish roe. The pasta was tossed with a generous amount of cheese which was not necessary good especially at the tail end of the meal.

The missus salmon looked a little sad and look like something that came out from the Ikea canteen (no offense). Taste wise it was OK at best.

We concluded that it will be a much better choice to choose items from the menu on the next visit and not select the "specials" which was a much better choice. Missus's Monaco came with a thin curst and a generous serving of prawns. They appeared to be blanched and still retained their juiciness which was nice. There were a good amount of other toppings like olives and chilies to provide the spice. It was a nice change to the regular pizza hut fare.

My parma also another thin crust pizza came with a nice sauce that resembles the duck pizza sauce from timbre. A good amount of salad rocket provided the necessary fiber in the dish. I will recommend this one. This time we had the fries and salad which was standard stuff and nothing to shout about. We thought the ice lemon tea this time was slightly better and concluded it was a case of too much sugar syrup the previous time.

If you are in the vicinity, this is a not too bad a restaurant to check out and I do recommend their pizzas. There is no service charge which we like! Entertainer app fans get a great deal with 1 for 1 mains!
