Food review: Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert @ Bedok Mall

Sheng Kee is probably more famous for its sugary treats rather than main course but i will say that their noddles are not too shabby and quite value for money.

The restaurant is now having a promotion (Dec 2015) to purchase an add option of small slice of Yam Cake and also small size Mango Sago for only $1.90. I will say quite value for money and definitely a good additional to share between couples.

I order the SK Signature combi noodles which is basically wanton noodles with large chunks of char siu(roasted pork). The noodles seems rather pale but the taste is rather all right. Wanton was filled with generous portions of meat and shrimp which is delightful to go with the noodles. The only gripe i have with this bowl of noodles was that the char siu should have been sliced thinly as it was too chunky and difficult to chew. Definitely not recommended if one have a bad tooth or those whom are more senior in age.

Missus had the Minced pork hor fun  and it was not too shabby with reasonable amount of minced pork and also tiny pieces of mushroom to give the dish a different texture. We complimented our meal with some greens that was reasonably priced and portioned.
