Lime restaurant has one of the best value high tea set in the entire Singapore. Affectionately named Tiers of Joy and priced at an affordable price of $38/set for 2 pax, it reigns above all in terms of value. We checked it out to have a taste of some Joy.
Conveniently located at Pickering street, the hotel and restaurant is easily accessible from either Clark Quay, Chinatown or Raffles Place MRT station. The well sculptured hotel is beautiful and offers plenty of opportunities for photos with its luxurious designs.
There is a dedicated area for the high tea buffet and we are seated in nice sofa seats with little cushions for the added coziness. It was perfect for an afternoon of relaxation as you enjoy a nice cup of tea and munch on tasty treats.
The menu is pretty straightforward as guests are presented with a 3 tiered afternoon tea set containing savories and sweet delights, a warm plate of fluffy scones and selection of premium Gryphon teas. If teas are not your tea, you can also choose to go with coffee.

Service is prompt and there is no issue getting the friendly service crew for more cups of tea. The set is also served within 5-10mins after taking your set. Let me pictures do the talking.

We were only full of compliments after the high tea which begins at 3pm and the missus and I had a good chance to seat down. chat and enjoy ourselves over the delightful afternoon. Coffee was nothing fancy and I recommend to skip the extra caffeine that you dont need, and try some of the premium Gryphon teas.

The afternoon tea at Lime Restaurant is certainly very indulging and we had a awesome time sampling the various tea blends. We spent a good 2h in the restaurant reminiscing the old times and left very satisfied. The ambience, service and quality of food is great and left us a little too full for dinner. Do note that the awesome price of $38++ per set will be extended until 12 Feb 2017. Do make reservation before heading down as there are limited sets per day. For a more indulgent tea time, top up $12 for two glasses of Prosecco or Rosé wine.
